At COGNAC by Wine, each pair of footwear is made to order through Italian production. Because our products are produced after purchase, our return and refund policy is designed to protect both the customer and the integrity of the made-to-order process.

Please review this policy carefully before placing your order.

Made-to-Order Footwear

COGNAC footwear is not mass-produced inventory. Each pair is made after your order is placed.

Because of the handmade and made-to-order nature of our products, minor non-material variations may occur, including slight differences in leather grain, texture, color tone, finish, stitching, or natural material appearance.

These minor variations are part of the production process and are not considered defects unless the product is materially different from what was ordered.

Inspecting Your Order

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

If your item is defective, damaged, or materially different from what you ordered, contact us within 30 days of delivery at:

Please include:

Your order number
Your full name
A description of the issue
Clear photos of the product, packaging, and any visible defect or damage

We will review your request and provide next steps.

Eligible Returns

A return may be accepted if:

The product is defective;
The product is materially different from what was ordered;
The issue is reported within 30 days of delivery;
The product is unused, unworn, clean, and in original packaging;
The return is approved by COGNAC by Wine before the item is sent back.

Do not send any item back without return approval. Items returned without approval may not be accepted.

Items Not Eligible for Return

Because each pair is made to order, returns may not be accepted for:

Customer sizing mistakes;
Buyer’s remorse;
Change of mind after production has started;
Normal handmade or material variations;
Minor color, texture, leather grain, or finish differences;
Items that have been worn, used, damaged, altered, or cleaned;
Items returned without original packaging;
Items returned without prior approval;
Damage caused after delivery.

Size Selection

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct size before placing an order.

Please review the size guide carefully before checkout. Because each pair is made to order, size-related returns, exchanges, or cancellations may be limited once production has started.

Exchanges

If an item is defective or materially different from what was ordered, we may offer a replacement, exchange, repair solution, or refund depending on the situation and product availability.

Exchange eligibility is reviewed case by case.

Refunds

If your return is approved and received in eligible condition, your refund will be processed to the original payment method where possible.

Please allow time for your bank, credit card provider, or payment processor to post the refund.

Original shipping costs, duties, customs fees, taxes, or other import-related charges may not be refundable unless required by law or unless the issue was caused by a verified defect or order error.
